The Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) joined hands with Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) to conduct an awareness campaign about the need to ensure a safe future for whale sharks along the coast of Kerala and Lakshadweep. The campaign was launched on Wednesday as part of Whale Shark Day in Kochi.

The Maharashtra Forest Department (MFD) and the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun, will launch a major survey in the state to assess status of critically endangered Great Indian Bustard (GIB).
