Shashidhar K .S retired from Indian Forest Services as Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and is the Chief Wildlife Warden of the Nagaland forest department. He has in depth knowledge of the flora and fauna of the subcontinent due to the vast exposure gained while travelling across the country on work. He is an authority on orchids and has a varied collection of orchids in his residence in Bangalore.
